SKYRAIDER CRASH Carrier landings are tricky business occasionally. It looks OK when it goes by the LSO, but anything can still hap- pen. Here the left Wheel strut snaps, plane skids on left wing, stops overhanging the catwalk. Firefighters insure safety by spraying plane with foam, although no fire oc- curred. Fire is greatest ship- board danger.
