"Hail dear old Anthony
Hats off to you.
Ever you’ll find us
Loyal and true.
Firm and undaunted
Always we'll be.
Hail to the school we love;
Here's a toast to thee."
2gJone(v nct
The story of one of the happiest
years of our lives is written in the
pages of this book. The 1955 JOLLY
ROGER staff hopes that you will look
back upon this book in the years to
come and recapture some of the
moments of your experiences in
high school.
It may seem strange to some that we should
make a dedication to a set of initials--A. H. S.
But after this year there will no longer be an
Anthony High School under that name. Subsequent
graduating classes will receive diplomas from
Anthony Rural High School.
That makes us, the class of 1955, the last
group who will graduate from A. H. S.
Therefore, we wish to dedicate this issue of
the JOLLY ROGER simply to those three letters.
They symbolize more than just a school to us.
We shall always associate them in our minds
with a situation, a time of life, and an experience
of spirit which afforded us what may well be the
most worthwhile, enjoyable, and unforgettable
four years of our lives.
