We struggled with geometry and American history and entertained the seniors with a banquet. We were represented in such sports as football and basketball and gained pride with the thought of being upper- elassmen. When we saw our senior friends going out and taking their places in the wide, wide world, it was with regret that we realized that in Om!-p,-5 only one more year our high school days would be over. C111 In lfcporzcr The Anniston High School Troupe 1018 has been a chapter of the National Thespian Society for five years. During the year this club is active in many so- cial and worthwhile projects. Under the leadership of Mrs. Frances Cobbs, our sponsor, we successfully accomplish various activities. Membership into the National Thespian Society is gained by obtaining ten or more points from var- ious dramatic projects. Each point received represents ten hours of work. Highlights of the year were the plays presented on chapel, the fall and spring induction ceremony, and monthly radio programs. This club is one of the most active in the school and contributes much to the school life. ational T espian Society Mk' Af Fzrst rou Joan Sexton Jcrrie Wilburn Jcrrv Zielinski Sermd rozu: Mrs. Cobbs. The purpose ol' the club is to encourage young people to become teachers. This year representatives ol' the club went to the District Conference in Gadsden. Meinbers of the club have also been used as substitute teachers for short periods. The annual Christmas party that the club gives for underprivileged children was a big success, as each child had a full stocking and all he could eat.
