Those of us who have special literary interests meet Friday afternoons to discuss and select pieces of creative writing and art submitted by the students for a maga- zine which is published at the end of the year. Since Ivy Vine provides a chance for students to learn how to best express themselves, members also do some writing during the meetings. DRAMA GROUP The Drama Group is open to any girl in the Upper School who wishes to become acquainted not only with dramatic techniques but also with the literature of the theatre. The production of The Charm School ' in March marked the pinnacle of the dramatic studies. Chairman: Gill King 20

Our academic studies are supplemented by extra- curricular activities as planned by the Social Commit- tee. These events included the Cruise at the beg-inning- of the year, the Mountain Trip, and a skirt and sweater dance, all of which form a memorable part of the school year. Christmas Carnival The International theme for the Christmas Carnival provided a marvelous opportunity for both students and faculty to use their ing-enuity to create many different articles to sell. The enthusiastic participation of everyone helped to make the festive occasion a g-reat success. 19

1 GLEE CLUB Those of us who enjoy singing for our own pleasure meet weekly as the Glee Club. We also perform at several functions during the school year: at the Christmas and Easter Carol services and at Graduation. DANCE GROUP The Dance Group meets weekly to dance for their own enjoyment and to perfect programs which they present for the School after the Christmas dinner and on May Day. They also perform several times during the year for organi- zations outside the school.
