JUNIORS Enthusiasm was the trademark of the Class of 39 as it embarked on its Junior year. Exploding from song and skit and remaining through hours of prepa- rations for activities, it sparked the action of the en- tire class. Throughout the year any mention of Jun- ior Sales brought grins of appreciation for the weekly and hilarious skits (courtesy of Robin) and for good food on Friday. Long weeks of rehearsal furtively guarded the secrets of just why You Can ' t Take It With You ' until performance night. The curtain calls were scarcely done when the House of the Sugar Plum Fairy tempted all sweet teeth at the Carnival. Winter term started with a splash at a party for Service League. Then followed minute in- vestigations of colleges, instruction into the mysteries of Senior Duties , and plans for THE Prom. Finally, on April 19, came that romantic evening on the Old Plantation. Decorating for May Day was hardly a past project when the class creativity was turned to Step Songs, the singing of which would make the Juniors Seniors. It was a good year — full of work and activity — it was a year of contagion — everyone caught and held Enthusiasm.
