He was a member of the school s first graduating class in 1893 He served as a teacher for seven years which helped him to better understand the educa tional needs of the people he represented As an outstanding physician Dr M1ll1ette has adminlstered dlllgently to the medical needs of the community It 1S fortunate for us that the wisdom and experience of Dr Milhette still available to those of us who need his counsel With deepest gratltude and appreciation we dedicate this 1956 Rocket eer to Dr D R Milliette 17 years as president. Majorette-Band Paper Staff Glee Club Basketball Senior Scholarship ,,,.-1 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We entered Anna High School in the fall of 1952 with 48 members in our class. There were 10 students from McCartyville and eight from Kettlersville. The officers of our class that year were: President, Pat Boyer, Vice- President, Mary Bornhorst, Secretary-Treasurer, Mary Monning Student Council, Barbara Egbert and Richard Clark. Mr. Lee 0. Turner was our class sponsor. In the homecoming Loretta Bell represented our class and Douglas Farley was her escort. Our sophomore year we had an enrollment of 45 pupils with Mr. J. B. Hartman as our sponsor. The class officers were: President, Richard Clark, Vice-President, Douglas Farley, Secretary, Mary K. Christmang Treasurer, Carole Harman, Student Council, Ronald Klopfenstein and Loretta Bell. Mary Monnin was the homecoming attendant and her escort was Don Schmidtmeyer. When we returned in September of 1954 our class consisted of 42 members and Mr. M. C. Staley was our sponsor. The officers were: President, Ronald Klopfensteing Vice-President, Judy Sharp, Secretary, Loretta Bell, Treasurer, Frances Leighton, Student Council, Nelson Wat- kins and Mary Bornhorst. In the homecoming, Mary Bornhorst was the attendant from our class and Dale Schaffer was her escort. Our Junior Class play, "Hobgoblin House" was given November 17, 1954. The following spring we sponsored the Junior and Senior Prom which was enjoyed by all. Our senior year began in September of 1955 with 36 members in our class and Mr. P. R. Schilling as our sponsor. The class officers were: President, Thomas Schilling, Vice-President, John Diehmg Secretary, Carole Harman, Treasurer, Judy Sharpg Student Council, Carl Bornhorst and Martha Koverman. Frances Leighton was homecoming queen and her escort was Dale Schaffer. Mickey Ordean was the senior homecoming attendant and Carl Bornhorst was her escort. The Senior play, "It's All ln the Family," was given April 17, 1956. We enjoyed the Junior and Senior Prom given to us by the Juniors on May 8, 1956. Baccalaureate was held on May 13. 1956, and commencement exercises were on May 14, 1956.
