18 BARBARA JO COPE: Barb served as editor-in-chief of the 1955 Omega. She was president and vice-president of her homeroom. Barb received a letter for her participation in GAC. She was a member of attend the University of Michigan. M. ANN COPLEY: Ann was a member of A Cappella, Cantando, Red Cross Committee, Future Nurses and Science Club. She belongs . - to the Episcopal Church Youth Group and plans to attend Stanford University next year. CRARY: Martha served as treasurer of her homeroom and as Student Council alternate. She also worked on the Omega and participated in Art, Science, Conservation and Washington Clubs. Among Martha's outside interests are Junior Achievement, art and traveling. Her plans include college, f FRANK E. CRAWFORD: Frank, a Slauson graduate, was active on the junior varsity swimming team. He was a member of the band and received a band letter. Frank participated in the Rifle Club and was interested in automobiles. He plans to go to the University of Mich- - igan School of Engineering. 5' fi . ..-,gf V, - CAROL A. CROWLEY: Carol comes to us from Slauson Junior High School. She was a member in the Square Dance and Dramatics Clubs. She was also a member of the Red Cross Committee and participated in the 1955 Washington Club. Carol plans to work or attend business school after graduation. Q. ALICIA SUE CUEN: Sue was an active member of GAC and received . Q, her GAC letter. She also took part in Cantando, Omega, Bowling Q' Club, Washington Club and Intramural Managers Committee. She was on the honor roll a maiority of the time in high school. Her future plans include college. . CAROLYN A. CUMMISKEY: Carolyn served as president and vice- gr, president of her homeroom. She was also active in GAC, holding ' office and winning awards. Besides being on the honor roll all the 4 E I I Q, .nr 3 H time Carolyn was in A Cappella and Washington Club- and she 3 Q H worked on the Omega. Her future plans include college. - CHRISTINE CURRY: Christine attended Coleman High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, before coming to AAHS. While at Ann Arbor High she was a member of the Future Nurses Club. Christine rates skating as her top outside interest. Nursing, and teaching school are her X. 1 future plans. JB .... ' GARIE C. DAHLSTROM: Garie came to Ann Arbor High School from Tappan Junior High School. She was a member of the Student Council, the Washington Club and GAC. Garie also ioined the Bowling Club and rated bowling tops among her outside interests. Office work is included in her future plans. W Pg ,. RICHARD C. DAKIN: Before entering Ann Arbor High, Dick attended - wif, Slauson Junior High School. An enthusiastic club member, he be- ' I' ' longed to the Square Dance, Rifle and Washington Clubs. In his spare time he enjoys skiing and hunting. Dick is undecided about his ' future plans. ffm- -Q WILLIAM D. DAMM: Bill attended Tappan Junior High before coming to AAHS. He was on the Cooperative Occupational Training Program and worked at the Hamburg Lumber Company. Among his outside interests Bill includes hunting. CHRISTOPHER S. CHASE: Chris was very active in band and received a band letter. He liked wrestling and won a iunior varsity award in tennis. Chris was a member of the A Cappella Choir and had various in V fit QA interests in music. He participated in the activities of the Proiection Club in his junior year. X x ' l J, JOHN 5. CHASE: John, an honor student, participated in tennis and room and was a member of the Washington Club. John's outside ii interests are bowling and other sports. He plans to attend college intramural football at AAHS. He served as vice-president of his home- I after graduation. 'bfi 's S' DONALD L. CHEATHAM: Don came to Ann Arbor from Columbia, Kentucky. He was especially active in the radio department: his voice is well known around AAHS by reading the morning bulletins. He was in intramural basketball. He plans to attend the U. of M. GARY N. CHEEVER: Gary attended iunior high school at Slauson. He was a member of A Cappella in high school and also participated r 2 U 3 in track. Hunting is Gary's main interest outside of school. His future ' V-.,f Q plans include two years of college. Then Gary plans to ioin the United States Air Force. if f MARY E. CHISOLM: Mary was commended for her excellent re- S porting of news for the Optimist. She belonged to GAC, Table Tennis ' Ss Club and Bowling Club. Popular music and swimming are included I in her outside interests. She is planning to be married after gradua- Q - tion from high school. BEVERLY J. CLARKE: Cantando and Square Dance Club claimed much y of Bev's time in high school. She was also treasurer of her homeroom 1 and is a member of the Bethlehem Evangelical Church. Bev plans a 'gb career in interior decorating, her outside interests are ceramics, bowling and record collecting. EDWARD A. CLARK: Ed was an active member of the Washington and Square Dance Clubs and served as treasurer of his homeroom, B-3. Employed during the summer of 1954 at Herz Decorators, Ed v plans a career in painting and decorating. His outside interests include 55, gy i hunting and bowling. Q 1 1' R RICHARD D. CLARK: Dick served on the Presidents Committee twice it ,qu at Ann Arbor High. He was also a member of the Intramural Managers Committee. Dick was on the wrestling squad for two years. He was wigs ., employed at the Ann Arbor News and plans to continue working M , f- after graduation. LEONARD D. COLEMAN: After coming from Slauson Junior High A g, School, Leonard became an active member of homeroom B-22 and fl- ,Ag-Swwlvi t , , the Hi-Y Club. His outside interests include sports and working at ., ' Calkins and Fletcher Drug Store as a clerk and deliverer. When 'T . -. graduated, he is planning on going into the armed forces. . A NORMA J. CONKLIN: Norma came to AAHS from Slauson Junior as N V, High School. She was treasurer of the Future Nurses Club. ln her ' senior year she was president of the Red Cross Committee. She was l ' . , also an active member of the science club. Norma plans to further 7, her education after graduation. ' A Y' 3 EV, Q -.,. ' ETHEL M. CONNOR: Ethel is a Tappan graduate. She participated in GAC sports here at school. She belonged to the Future Nurses i.. . . Club and the Red Cross Committee. Ethel likes dancing and singing, and sang with the girls chorus. She wants to continue her schooling after she graduates. RONALD F. COOK: Ron, having come from Slauson Junior High, became active in painting and decorating class. While at high school, he played on the varsity baseball team gf ,fx for two years, and he also participated in football. Arnold played -- hockey in the Ann Arbor amateur league for three years. His future plans include college. ' WILLIAM .I. DARWIN: Bill is very interested in sports and likes to : hunt and fish. He earned a letter in football and played in intramural sports. He ioined A Cappella, Modern Record and Bowling Clubs. A - Bill was on our Student Council and the Intramural Managers Com- ' M .. ...,...o.,, mittee. He plans to attend the U. of M. ! T i BILLIE W. DAVIS: Billie came to Ann Arbor High from Tappan Junior High School. He was a member of homeroom A-20 and took an active part on the cross country team. He is very interested in uv photography as a hobby. Billie is undecided about his future plans 35 ' , after graduation from high school. 0 LLOYD E. DAVIS: Lloyd, who came to Ann Arbor High from Tappan Junior High, was a member of Homeroom C-18. His favorite activities outside of schoolginclude working on model airplanes, hunting and fishing. Although he is not too sure of his future plans, he hopes to become an aviator. THOMAS E. DAVIS: Before coming to Ann Arbor High School, Tom X 5 went to Tappan Junior High School. While at AAHS, he was an active , A member of homeroom B-22 and worked at the Michigan Union as W a bellhop. DAWSON: Jack entered AAHS as a iunior, having spent his previous years in St. Thomas High School. A KATHRYN J. deKONING: During her years at AAHS, Kathy received Trl . a letter in GAC, served on both the Student Council and Presidents' W' ' T, tpfarb, . Committee. She received an award for her work on the Optimist of -- Xpsmf which she became business manager. Kathy plans to go to college . I ' . but hasn't decided yet where she will go. RODERICK N. DICK: Rod came to AAHS from Tappan Junior High. He was a member of the Rifle Club, the Bowling Club and served as the intramural managers representative from his homeroom. ln his spare time he worked at the A 8. P Grocery and enjoyed swimming Q and hockey. CAROLINE M. DIETERLE: Caroline was a member of Optimist, Rifle Club, Washington Club and president of German Club. She earned a letter in GAC and was Student Council representative. Her scholastic record was excellent and she achieved the T5 point honor roll in 1953. She plans to go to fhe U. of M. DENIS P. DONNELLY: Denis belonged to the Popular Records Club and participated in intramural bowling and volleyball. He served his homeroom as Student Council representative. Denis, who has been on the honor roll a maiority of the time at high school, plans to attend the University of Michigan. 1 g. DORIS M. DRAPER: Doris likes to square dance and ioined the - - 5 Square Dance Club. She was also an active member of the Scribblers' - M 32. NJ, V Club.
