I SIXTH GRADE VVhen school opened in September we found that we had lost some of our mem- bers but had gained Roy Palmer. Roy had moved from the Adirondack region to Angelica during the surrmer. Upon glancing about the room, we noticzd that the ceiling had been repaired and newly decorated during the summer. The summer had brought many changes in the building and we had to inquire our way to the principa1's and nurse's offices. We found that a dental hygienist had an office where supplies had been kept. All of us had our teeth cleaned and received instruction about caring for our teeth. At the end of the second week of school La Ray O'Hara returned to Belmont. Philip Beebe came back the latter part of September and Elsie Gordon entered from Arkport for the first time. Gary Magee, who had at one time bene a pupil in our school, returned the last of October. After a few weeks Philip left us to attend school elsewhere, During the year we have enjoyed the usual parties consisting of games and refreshments. Many parents visited our room on Parents Night We were glad they could have an opportunity to see our visual aids The opaque projector which was new this year has been very helpful to us particularly in social studies and science All but four of our grade have attended released time religious instruct on at the various churches Two of us could not go because our church is out in the country Fourteen have joined the Varsity A and have enjoyed the pep meetings During the Junior Red Cross Drive we obtained a 100W membership and packed two boxes Several have been taking instrumental lessons from Mr Enos so that we shall be able to play in the band when we are older Our grade contributed a play and a monologue to the Christmas program Th various committees handled the number by themselves An invitation has been extended to us to attend most of the outs de assem blies during the year We have found them to be both enjoyable and he pful Front row kneeling left to light Bohhx .Iennlng Toni lee Swift George Derx Cltherlne Second rou sitting left to right Shirlew Leliff Donald Dcmlfk Baihaia Txler Rox Palmer Joanne Eli essor Daxid Ferrmger Arlene Hoffman Dnk Norton Xhlma Iuureme Third roxs standing left to right Larrx Turker Elsie Cordon Xlike Barker Lorraine Behr ens James Link Exelwn Brooks Nliss Barber Frames Nlascha Eduard Case Chailc Bwroads Dick Doner Aleti Lmeri 20 ll 1 II ' ' ' 1 ' ' ll ' ll ' ll II ' . .
