ANDREWS 18 - LEVELLAND 14 Upset-minded Andrews turned the tide on Levelland with an T8-14 bi-district victory Thanks- giving day. Levelland had beaten the Mustangs earlier in the year, but this time the outcome was to be an exact replica of the year before. After a scoreless first quarter, Ted Nelson scored six with an ll-yard iaunt around end. Later, Joe Camacho recovered a Lobo fumble on their 25-yard line, and Tommy Walker pushed over for the score. Levelland marched back with a tally, but once more Andrews tallied to win the fray. ANDREWS 6 - BRECKENRIDGE 32 Football was brought to a smashing close De- cember 5 as the Breckenridge Buckaroos rode the Mustangs to a 32-6 defeat in the state quarter- finals, taking the local team iust as they did the year before, However, Andrews held the power- ful Bucks to eight points for three quarters before the co-state champions cut loose with a three- touchdown barrage in the final stanza. Andrews gained their lone tally late in the game as Doug Jeffreys hit end Dudley Mitchell in the end zone. .vdrv .
