The new football stadium which was completed
this yearis one of the best in District 5-A. The
seating capacity is approximately 7500. The
West stadium is completely new and will acc-
omodate about 5000 people. The field house,
which is located under the West stand, is very
nice also. It opens onto the field, so the players
can go directlyto the field after dressing. There
are three concession stands under the West
Stadiurn whe re the Senior Class sells drinks and
candy. On the North side of the field stands the
new electric scoreboard, which was bought by
the Quarterback Club. It not only gives the min-
utes ofthe game, but the score, the quarter,
down and yards to go.
The Fast stand is made up of the two old
stands which were moved to that side of the field
and set up.

make their shots was the main reason the
Denver City Mustangs defeated them for the
first time this year at Seminole in a play-off
game to decide the two teams representing the
northern half of District 5-A. Denver City
won by a top heavy score of 43-30.
Andrews had met Denver City three times
previously and had walked away all threetimes
victorious. This time it was differentg Denver
City won and entered the district tourney.
Bob Sumerwell vyas the high point man for
Andrews with 16 points.
ANDREWS vs KERMIT
The Kermit Yellow Jackets downed the
Mustangs once more on February 14, in an-
other playoff game by a score of 44-38.
The Mustangs made the first three points
of the game, but then fell behind and stayed
that way throughout the rest of the game.
Sumerwell scored 14 points for the Mustangs
to take second highest scorer of the game.

NEW FRIENDS AND OLD FRIENDS
Make new frlends but keep the old
Those are s1lver these are gold
New made fr1endsh1ps 11ke new w1ne
Age w1ll mellow and rehne
Frlendshrps that have stood the test
Tlme and change-are surely best
Brow may wr1nkle ha1r grow gray
Fr1endsh1p never knows decay
For m1d old frlends tr1ed and true
Cnce more we our youth renew
But old fnends alas' may d1e
New irrends must the1r place supply
Cher1sh fr1endsh1p 1n your breast
New 1S good but old IS best
Make new frrends but keep the old
Those are s11ver these are gold.
