They Saved The Best For Last The last year of Andrew Lewis w r as also the last year of high school for the Class of ’77. Proving that the last were the test, the seniors won first place in both the homecoming competitions with the float “Bury Botetourt” and the hall decoration theme “They Saved The Best For Last.” The seniors were faced with many important decisions. The college- bound had more SAT tests and college applications while vocational and D.E. students searched for jobs. Although their future plans were exciting, the members of the Class of ’77 were sad to see their high school years come to a close because with the end of their high school time came the end of a much-loved tradition and institution. 113
