ASSEMBLIES We all wait in silent anticipation for the beginning of the Pep As¬ sembly at Municipal Field. Elton Birch, captain of the football team, presents the football used in the Jefferson game (13—13 was the score) to Bob Hunt, Student Body President. George Lewis looks startled as he completes one of his experiments in a Science Assembly. j 2 q The recitation, “Mary had a little lamb,” was magically changed by Bob Brown at his science assembly. Jerry Johnston smiles amused at Betty McDonald’s an¬ tics. A number of students gather in the hall before going to devotions on Friday morning.

WINNING FLOATS Ferman Wertz, Dwin Banner, Glenn Thornhill, and Jimmy Myers try to “Shatter Glass” to win the “Goddess of Victory,” Carolyn Chap¬ man. The Latin Club won second place for this entry in the Home¬ coming Parade. 122 The F.H.A.’s dragon, “The Red Glass-Eater,” made a sweeping first- place float in the Homecoming Parade.
