Cammie Spotts, Jack Shannon, Edward Scruggs, James Comer, William Robertson, Buddy Walker, Lanier Frantz, Garth Nelson, Bill Thompson, Lynn Deyerle Projection Club The Projection Club was organized to carry out the Audio-Visual Program and to train students in operating the machines, caring for the equipment, and in taking pictures of school activities for various purposes. The club, formerly sponsored by Mr. Selden H. Watkins, is carrying on under the temporary supervision of an executive committee composed of the club members. Every semester the club plans a well-rounded program of feature movies, class-room pictures, and stage performances. These activities have proved to be not only entertaining and recreational, but educational as well. [ 75 ]

David Brown. Dickie Bunting. . President .... Vice President Secretary-Treasurer The Andrew Lewis Monogram Club of 1946-47 was formed at the beginning of the year under the sponsorship of H. M. Copenhaver, coach. The club was formed around a nucleus of 18 old mem¬ bers and at the present is making plans for the initiation of new members. The club has been more active this year than in recent years with the return of eight veterans. It has held two dances and is planning to hold another. The money from these dances is going to be used to buy each member a Monogram sweater. [ 74 ]

Treasurer Sergeant at Arms This year our chapter has 55 members and is affiliated with the state and national organizations. Under the excellent supervision of Mrs. Nancie Miller and Miss Miriam Spangler, our chapter advisors, we are cooperating in carrying out the chapter, state, and national goals. Our general goal is to work together for better school, home, and community services. The motto of the Future Homemakers of America, “Toward New Horizons,” in itself expresses the purpose of the organization. [ 76 ]
