The 1943-’44 Basketball Squad SPRUHAN—FORWARD—GUY, known to his team-mates as “Gus” was co¬ captain of the team this year. His brilliant floorwork was his outstanding feat¬ ure. We shall be looking forward to his return next year. WHITE—FORWARD—-LYNN was one of the best sports we have ever known. He was especially good on his work under the baskets and will be missed next year. MILLER—CENTER—BIG “Ty” was one of the main reasons for our suc¬ cessful season. He led the team in scoring and proved his good sportsmanship in every game. SCOTT—GUARD—“CURLY” was the best-natured player on the team. When the going got tough Scott could always be counted on to pull through. SHAW—GUARD—“ARTIE” was the most consistent player on the team and his superior ball playing made him well worthy of his co-captaincy.
