CARNIVAL BALL On the evening of February 19, the annual Carnival Ball was held at the Andover High School Gymnasium. The gym was attractively decorated with dark blue and light blue crepe paper streamers, which were upheld in the center by a hoop filled with many pretty colored balloons. The Queen ' s throne was backed with aqua crepe paper and sprinkled with silver snowflakes. Before the coronation, dancing was enjoyed to the music supplied by the Mexico High School Dance Band. Linda Akers, Queen of 1959, led the procession. She was escorted by David White. Following Linda was Janet Hewey escorted by John Percival; then came Lane Ladd escorted by Lorenzo Miller, Ann Morton escorted by Robert MacDonald, Carole Farrington escorted by Jack Ladd, and Marsha Meisner escorted by Tommy Michaud. Marsha Meisner was crowned Queen of the carnival by former Queen Linda. Following the coronation, flowers and gifts were presented. Following the Grand March, the chaperons Robert B. Swain and Carlton Harrigan served refreshments and punch. Dancing was then re- sumed for the remaining part of the evening, and our dance this year was a big success.
