Akers Junior - Senior Play This year the Junior -Senior Play was again sponsored by Mr. demons. It was held in the Andover High School Gym instead of the Town Hall as in previous years. WHICH SHALL HE MARRY? a comedy in three acts by Omerea Denison Mrs. Randolph, mother of the Randolph girls. Janet Hewey Elaine Randolph, the beauty of the family Janice Doyen Susan Randolph, the brains of the family Juliette White Patience Randolph, the good angel of the family Avis Perkins Mary Jane Randolph, the youngest member of the family. . . . Wanita White Frankie Randolph, the athletic member of the family Linda Akers Magnolia, the colored cook Darline Tucker Mr. Hinman, a lawyer Mike Feener Dick Evans, a very eligible young bachelor John Percival Prompter Jean Stinson Stage Manager Darrell Cushing This year we used a new type of stage arrangement, theater-in-the- round. The cast presented Mr. demons witha gift to show their ap- preciation for the time and effort he spent to make the play a success.

SQUARE DANCE CLUB President - Janet Hewey Vice President - Daniel White Our monthly square dances were sponsored by Mr, demons and were enjoyed by everyone. At our Christmas party, Ann Morton was chosen Queen. The Queen and Mr. Clemons led the Grand March. Later we danced, played games, and were served refreshments. We hope that next year the Square Dance Club will be as big a success as it was this year.

Akers NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Last spring, in an attractive candlelight ceremony at the church, five new members were initiated: Janet Hewey and Bernice Maddix as active members; Juliette White, Linda Akers, and Wanita White as probationary members . In January, two more active members were initiated at a ceremony in the gymnasium. These new members were Dexter Blanchard and Jean Stinson. The primary requisite is the attainment of a minimum average of eighty-five percent. After this requirement has been met, students are elected to the society by the faculty on the basis of character, leader- ship, and service.
