JUNIOR CLASS ACTIVITIES The Junior Class, under The direcTion oT Miss Eide, gave The annual Junior Prom in The Anderson High School Gymnasium on March 27, I936. The Gymnasium was beauTiTuIIy decoraTed To roprosenT a nighT in old Japan. Cherry blossoms lTied on branches by diIigenT Junior Class Workersl were scaTTered around The walls. and Japanese Ianferns hung Trom The ceiling. A large golden dragon was sprawled across The sTage curTain, and many Japanese prinTs lalso made by The Juniorsl covered The backboards. A miniaTure bridge and a small garden scene were buiIT in one corner oT The hall. and The punch bowl and sTand were ar- ranged under an arbor oT cherry blossoms in anoTher corner. A large crowd aTTended The dance and everyone reporTed a good Time. AnoTher evenT To which The Juniors are Ioolcing Torward is The TradiTionaI Junior picnic ThaT is To be held on May 29. AT This Time The class expecTs To enioy an aTTernoon of swimming, games, and good eaTs. SOPHOMORE CLASS ACTIVITIES The Sophomore Class oT This year is a very large one and has Two sTudenTs on The honor roll. Many Sophomorcs have enTered in various acTiviTies and sporTs, and have shown Themselves capable oT becoming good Juniors nexT year. AT The Sophomore-Freshman ParTy The Sophomorcs wcnT down To a glorious deTeaT. I-Iowever. They were able To rally aTTer The games and conTesTs and To eaT as much ice cream as anyone else. Since They were Iosors They had To pay Three- TiTThs oT The expenses. , The nexT big evenT in The lives oT The Sophomores happened when They sTood guard on March 20, while The Freshmen cheerTuIIy cleaned ouT The DiTch. The annual Weenie Bake will be held on May 29, aT Cow Creek. where The Sopho- mores expecT To enioy games and swimming, and The usual ice cream. salad, sand- wiches. weenies. buns, eTc. FRESHMAN CLASS ACTIVITIES A shy, buT deTermined and zippy group made up The I935-36 Freshman class. FurTher deTerminaTion and seIT-confidence in Themselves resulTed in a vicTory over The Sophomores aT The Freshman-Sophomore ParTy. In The early spring, a cusTomary ditch cleaning day was enioyed by The Freshmen under The supervision of The JoIIy Sophomores. This year's Freshmen proved To be very acTive in leadership and sporTsmanship. A large number of The boys helped To make up The basIceTbaII and baseball Teams.
