These are the boys who publish The Yellow Jackal, Boys' High newspaper. once a month or whenever they get the money and in- clination to do so. The Yellow locket is the only high school news- paper of which copies are given to the students free, and it is prac- tically the only high school paper with a gossip column. For this, the staff is unlnercifully persecuted throughout the year. The most sought after chore on the staii is going to Hanna and Junior High each month to sell the Y. J. Becoming a member of the elite society who have made this trip is the avowed purpose of each person on the staff. The business staff members must sell. sell, sell ads until he drops to get to go to Hanna High. The editorial staff members must write. write. and write. These two activities of the Y. J. are the main ones. 26

Hannasgals Buzz The eternal deadline! Once a month Hallfmsgals stalls donate lllood. sweat. headaches. and midnight oil to the eauseg that of delivering the tattered hut completed lay-out sheets and copy to the printers. But all is not work in this organizationg for instance. there are the trips to Boy si High and McCants, Junior High to sell papers. And oh those trips! Through snooping around the oflice to dig up scoops and pester- ing Mr .Sandlin and Miss Nleflown for excuses, the Hrznnasgals staff managed to put out nine papers. Each one represented the news and the interesting personalities of Hanna High. The Hrznnasgrzls play ed hostess to the State Scholastic Press As- sociation Convention.
