Homecoming a Success as Redskins Defeat Forest Park 28 to 20. BETSY VALLE ELECTED 1974 HOMECOMING QUEEN The Anderson Redskins snapped a three game losing streak as they won their second game of the season, a hard fought 28-20 triumph over ' the Forest Park Chargers. It was all Anderson in the first quarter as Tim Hail recovered the opening kickoff on the Forest Park 19 yard line. In four plays Don Adams plunged in from the one. Later, Anderson drove 59 yards climaxed by a 15- -yard ' pass from Dave Miller to Nick Tarpoff. The trend and momentum changed' In the second quarter as Forest Park took over. The Chargers drove 54 yards with John Coffey scoring from the five. Late In the quarter the Chargers began to drive again and with no time remaining Frank Huth threw 15 yards to Maurice Dunn for Forest Park' 5 second touchdown. The conversion failed and Anderson held a 15- 14 halftime lead. The only scoring drive of the third period was by the Redskins. They drove i 52 yards with Adams taking it the final 23 for the score. Late in the fourth quarter Jeff Thornton intercepted 3 Forest Park pass and returned it to the 29 yard line. Adams then ran it in on the next play for the score.
