EE? ,THE ANDERSONIAN' A JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY Three short years ago we came to :Xnderson as lireshmen and survived that trying period under the guidance of Nlrs. Struke. At the initiation and baby parties, during all the discomforts heaped upon us, we tried to show our upper classmen that we were good sports and that we could take it . XYhen we entered Anderson the next year, we were treated with more respect and consideration. During our Sophomore year we had the chance to initiate our successors and to enjoy our contact with our advisor, Miss Straus. Last September we met once more with Mrs. Struke as our advisor and began to consider the work of our junior year. XYe realized that we had more to accomplish this year than ever before. Tliroughout out three years of high school life. members of our class have been active in athletics. scholastics. music, and all school organizations. During the course of the year we lost several members, but others joined our band. The class has been active at all games and entertainments. selling candy and ice cream. 'l'he junior-Senior banquet on April 28 was a well-planned event of the year. lt exceeded the highest expectation and proved to he a worthy send- off for the class of 1934. The Junior class play, The Fifteenth of January , really given on April 6, was one of the highlights of the season and came up to the standard of for- mer plays. The play was under the direction of Owen Phillips. As we, the class of 1935. stand on the threshold of a new school year, and we look back over the good times and trials that we have had at Ander- son, we realize that as Seniors we will have greater responsibilities to meet. We are looking' forward to our new task with confidence for our success. We take this opportunity to extend our very best wishes for success to the class of 1934, and we hope that we may live up to the ideals that former classes have established. ,.lE?
