Mr Z7 I9 While Supcrznlcndeut
Congratulations Seniors, Annual Staff, and Sponsors for another excellent edi-
tion of the Anahuaconian.
This edition depicts the type of educational facilities, character, and type of
students found at Anahuac Public Schools.
Through your efforts and the efforts of a cooperative citizenship you have ed-
ucational opportunities of which you may be justly proud--opportunities that
provide physical, social, moral, and intellectual guidance for the youth of today.
We hope that the educational guidance, counseling, direction, and intellectual
achievements received at Anahuac High School will not only help you to live a
fuller life during your high school days but will also have a carry-over value
into adult life. You are learning the ideals and principles in high school that
will be exemplified in your adult living. We hope and feel that you will make
us proud we had a small part in teaching those ideals and principles which will
prepare you to take your places as good c itiz e ns in tomorrow's democratic
society.
Sincerely,
T. P. White

Deep ln the orlent there IS a place called the Mystlc Tea House Here ln the lncense fllled
room behlnd the bamboo curtalns I have been readlng the tea leaves for many years Durlng the
long tlme ln whlch I have been readlng the leaves I have never seen such an lnterestlng forcast
At the present I see somethlng very very lnterestlng There seems to be a great nolse
many people, what 15 all thls'7 Oh I see lt lS CLIFTON MADDOX he LS playlng for the Harlem
Globe Trotters Poor boy he must have been slck lately he IS much paler than hls team mates
Speaklng of belng SlCk I don't blame hlm I see LINDA GAY LAUGHLIN lS head nurse at the
largest hospltal ln town Here comes someone down the street ln a brand new Thunderblrd why
lt's JANIE NOLTE Bennle must own the Ford place now Ah another scene I see BARBARA
and JOHN ALLEN have set up thelr bamboo hut ln Monroe Clty and lt seems as though thelr song
has changed from "You'll Always Be My Llfe Tlme Sweetheart" to "I'd Rather Dle Young The
tea leaves are changlng agaln I see a school house Anahuac School House and there IS a coach
and hls wlfe It's DONALD and P D MUNSON the splttlng lmage of Coach and Mrs Larrlson
Speaklng of coaches I see ROBERT LANCON flnally graduated from manager to head coach at
dear oleA H S Here lS stlll another scene It's a horse race but somethlng seems to be wrong
wlth one of the horses Have no fear though here comes LEROY EZER he always sald he would
be a veterlnarlan I hear mus1c oh that horrlble horrlble Rock and Roll' What's thls'? An
old fashloned dance marathon'7 Who are those flgures I see stlll on the floor? Why lt's COLLINS

It looks llke two very dlstlngulshed gentlemen Some executlves Iwould lmaglne Now I can see
more clearly It's JIM HOUSE presldent of Anahuac Hardware and WALTER SCHERER pres
ldent of Scherer Motor Company Alas another scene I hear someone strummlng on a gultar
It's KATHY WILLIAMS audltlonlng for two talent scouts What's she slnglng'7 Why of course
"Love Is Strange ' Flnally I hear clvlllzed muslc It's Carnegle Hall and there lS LINDA HUT
SELL queen of the lvorles glvlng one of her famous performances The muslc IS changlng now
from concertos to Weddlng Bells and there 1S MAXINE LITTLE comlng down the alsle The

school klds have become owners of the stores cafes and etc I see TOMMY REED lS owner of
the Bay Theater where DERL GREEN IS starrlng ln a plcture whlch won flve academy awards
The VLSIOU ln the tea cup IS fadlng but I can stlll see ablonde lt must be ANNIE LEE TIBBITTS
