Add to the Council's Legislative Action BOB BAKER MARGARET KISHIYAMA President Vice-President .-cess, sy .. yqw L 4 X I MARILYN WATTS GARY SHEPARD Secretary Sergeant-at-Arms STUDENT COUNCIL During the T958-59 school year, Anaheim's Student Council or- ganization, under the able guidance of Mr. Laurence Decker, President Bob Baker, and Vice-President Margaret Kishiyama, has risen to unex- celled heights in improving the Colony's status. The Student Council is composed ot one student from each history and senior problems class. These members bring to the Student Coun- cil ideas that have been discussed in their classes, then the Council votes on the suggestions. A sporty event, the Beachcombers Ball, was just one ot the many activities undertaken by the Council. Another activity, and perhaps the biggest undertaking completed by this large organization, was that ot introducing the idea ot the Victory Flag . To start ott the idea, the Council held contests to see what person might submit the best design tor the flag. The sketches that numerous students turned in were then voted upon by the student body. With the desired design selected and the flag constructed, it now hangs in tront ot the school, proudly proclaiming when and in what sport Ana- heim has conquered an opponent.
