8 o JOM DEDICATION We, the Senior Class of 1951, dedicate this edition of the Big Stack to Miss Mary Papez. We want her to know that she has been a source of inspiration and guidance to us during our school years and well deserves this dedication. We have ever found in her a sympathetic friend, a wise counselor, and an interested and efficient guide in our every endeavor. Because she has so endeared herself to us, her inspiration will forever be a challenge to every one of us in the years that are to come. ( 3 ) SCHOOL BOARD Left to right: Horace Dwyer, John Russell, Clive Farland, Ben Bollinger, Walter Dooley, C. B. Ashlock, Dave Nelson. SECRETARY CLERK SECRETARY Ruth McHugh Guy Peterson Laura Hummel (6) Superintendent.jr Message TO THE GRADUATES: Personal character is the first essential for social usefulness. Character — how well an indi- vidual is motivated and equipped to cope with himself and the world—is the central preoccupa- tion of education. The hope of education and the hope, consequently, of civilization lies in the ideals that you, the graduates of American high schools, may now have acquired, and the moral stamina which directs your course towards these ideals. From all sides we now hear of the desper- ate need in America of a spiritual and moral reawakening. Our parting word to you then is this expression of our hope that we may have helped to prepare you to have some part in such a reawakening, that you may look forward to a happy and satisfying life in an ever better and finer America. E. ]. Nordgaard This has been a most pleasant year at Anacon- da High School. The achievements made by you, both as individuals and as a group, have caused this to be an outstanding year in the history of your school. It is my hope and wish that each of you will continue to find pleasure and enjoyment in the performance of a task well done. May it bring to each of you the joy and prosperity which come from work well done and the peace and happi- ness which come from a life well lived. P. J. There are many things we won't forget, The fun we've had — the friends we've met; But as we leave these High School days, Our paths divide — we go varied ways. —MARIAN GEIL ( 14 ) Iran Anrish Ive Art Audrey Lorean Beckman Audie Commercial Julia Bertha BJornemo Bertha English Anita Borzick Nita Commercial Geraldine Buralli Gerrie Commercial James Alton Ashley Ash Science Betty Lou Bertsch Baba Lu Commercial Leonard Bock Len Commercial Rita Borzick Rita Commercial Beverlee Adaire Burns Bev Social Science ( 15 ( 16 ) lack Cantrell Moby” Art Batty Jean Congdon Bets Home Economics Ramona Cron Monie” Home Economics lo Anna Mary D'Angelo Jo Commercial Norma Jean Des Jardin Dessy Natural Science Ronda Marie Colwell Ronnie Commercial Jo Ann Catone Jo Art Patricia Ann Darison Pat Science Jean DiRe Jay Dee Art James Duffy Duff Commercial William James Dunlap “Jim Science Helen Louise Eckberg Eck Home Economics Shirley Gail Ellison Shirl English Beniamin C.
