Now that we present Volume XIV of the "Chief," we are again proud of what the experience has meant to us. We have tried to provide you with a deeper understanding of the true character of your Alma Mater through highlights in the academic and activity program. As you open this book, another chapter is closing in the history of Anacoco School. Our best wishes go to each of you for a happy ending in life's finafchapter, Happy Viewing, The Staff ' 4 D e i c ca f i o n PARENTS AND CITIZENS . To the multitude of faithful, school-minded parents and citizens of Anacoco School Communi- ty, who by their unselfish devotion and high ideals for education, responded so freely to our needs for a new school plant and equipment, we proudly dedicate this yearbook. As you view the activities pictured, may you feel proud of the part you had in providing the best for your children today and for their children in future years. Your investment in young people will bring you great rewards. -1 1 5 I 5 l 1 n 1 n ' 1 ' 1 i 1 l - I ' 1 Message N l Dear Friends: May I take this opportunity to commend each of you for the splendid job that has been done in the production of this attractive yearbook. It bespeaks of a high-type program and reflects many outstanding accomplishments in education character- ized by everyone in your school. l hope you will use these many and varied experiences as a firm foundation upon which to build and grow, and there will be an ever-increasing pride in this school which made it possible for you to participate in so many educational activities. Your teachers, parents and associates will watch your future progress with great interest because your success will also be the success of all who have worked with you. Let me express my sincere appreciation to every one of you for the effort that made this comprehensive, informative yearbook possible. Sincerely, Curtis Bradshaw, Superintendent Vernon Parish Schools Superintendent s N. w. W. PARKER DHHS . . TR MONROE Sigma: PUUCIP 1 51611135 MORRISON Boaxd NX ary Principal School Board and Office Staff Principal's Message "These are the happiest days of your life" is a familiar phrase to high school students. This has been truly said, but happy living is not all gaiety. .As the clouds make the sunshine brighter, our tears, fears, and countless other emotions enter the pattern of happy living, 'In school we see drama and emotion portrayed in many ways each day. There is joy and despair in faces at report card time, excitement at our tournaments, tension in our elections and anticipation of class rings, invitations, school pictures and the "Chief," These moments we share between September and June - moments which are soon yesterdays giving way to new tomorrows. As I say farewell to the seniors, it is with appreciation for you and what you have meant to Anacoco School and with a wish that each will make a worthwhile contribution to our American way of life. To the staff, teachers, student body and citizens of our community, a sincere thank you for your part in making possible another publication of an attractive yearbook.
