Pirates Inspired By tl UA Wildcats s of 215188 the 7th grade bas- ketball team was doing great. ieir record was 11 wins and 2 losses. 'ie team as a whole greatly improved iring the season. They put a lot of fort into being the W1 7th grade am. The most valuable players were arlos Lee, Eric Fox, Gary Williams, id Chris Jones. This team had to be b best there ever was. Considering the fact that they had no coach until a week before their first game, they re- ally pulled together as a team and showed themselves as well as their school that they have the hearts of champions. I feel they will be next year's 8th grade conference champs , said Coach Carter. The 8th grade team did an excellent job this year also. They did not make the playoffs due to a tie and ended in 2nd place in the southern league. Their season re- cord was 10 wins and 6 losses. The players voted Quinn Borninkof and Tom Huthoefer most valuable, Rick Moreno most improved, and the team captains were Jeff Kurtin and Jude Candelaria. . f 'WMM 2 1.
