The Wonderful World of AJ HS number of exciting activities highlighted the fall semester. Amphi pirates showed their patriotism by wearing red, white, and blue cloth- ing and sending off one thousand bal- loons on Constitution Bicentennial Day. Twelve students were trained as Peer Mediators, and many students participated in dances and the mag- azine sale. Our excellent behavior was rewarded with a fun Pride Day, the cheerleaders cheered our teams to vic- tory, Disneyland Day celebrated our good attendance, and we finally re- ceived our Slice machines! Pirates Flaunt Their Fashion Flair he fashions and fads at AJHS were especially unique this year. To be in style students wore fash- ions ranging from Disneyland clothing to Punk, Heavy Metal, skating styles, and the Prep look. Punks spiked their hair, wore round-rimmed glasses and long skirts and coats, and listened to music groups like U2 . The Dis- ney clothing went from the Epcot Center to Mickey Mouse. For the skat- ing styles, another big fashion at AJHS, students rode skateboards, wore clothing that advertised skate lgJENEP4VwfX shops and showed famous logos or skateboarders and listened to music groups like JxFxAx and The Dead Kennedys . The Preps wore Guess, Esprit, Banana Republic, and Benet- ton, and enjoyed listening to music groups like The Cure . The Metal Heads wore heavy metal rock group T-shirts and listened to groups like Whitesnake and Def Leppard . Many Amphi Pirates were content with their own, regular style of clothing, whatever that might have been! 'T' CsbLWWYNQX 550, WX Xrlqgxlfx SQ lA cvqjl, . Q Qi--Q. Bree 16D 1.
