In sports, academics, and clubs, has always had one student who works hard enough to stand out. I have always had a positive feeling about Amphi. Opportunities to excel here have been endless. I ' ve always felt challenged to do better and, I ' m glad 1 have met those challenges, ' - said Hans -Erick nelson, reflecting on his past years at school. Amphi is a school that stands alone among many when it comes to displaying school spirit at pep assemblies, school events, and on signs around campus. Qwynne Patzman an Amphi cheerleader said, Students at Amphi are filled with pride and try to act with as much class as possible. Spirit at Amphi makes going here a lot more fun. Amphi ' s spirit has been a long- standing tradition and will continue for a long time to come. Amphi High School has 2,526 students attending this year, and like always, a standard of excellence has been achieved. Our new principal, Dan Alberts, came from a small school in Nebraska. He said, when you ' re new and look from the outside in, it is easy to see the strength in tradition and pride that goes along with Amphi school district. ' ' Obviously, Amphi ' s students and administration have pride in what they do because the relations between students and teachers are based on caring, sharing and always achieving the goal of excellence. Tradition is past memory, it is little wonder that the Panther Tradition has gained it ' s present dimensions. There are many memories of this school and it ' s life — a congenial chat with friends between classes, after school discussions ' ' with teachers, classes, or extra-curricular activities. The Seniors prepare for next years challenges, senior goals, and responsibilties. The Juniors prepare to be seniors and start inheriting the common senior worry lines that come with SATS, ACTS, AP Tests, ASVAKS, or maybe even graduation. The Sophomores (the largest class at Amphi) don ' t have a worry in their heads except maybe what ' s going on Saturday night or what are they going to wear the next day. The Freshman bring their spirit of success, as they formulate plans for three more busy years. These are the experiences of one year that have ad ded to our tradition and have made it meaninful and Amphi is the school that has provided these memories.
