KX A Qa.5mCQ For their splendid work in making music for the covered wagon the followlng people were awarded band sreaters Lois Fritsche, Betty Velty, Alberta elliott, Anne harley, Mary Hanlon, Marjorie Feller, ulendellne Hubble, lom 'cCammack Paul Troke and Harold Applegate Ne seemed to be in a whirl of social activity this year, for we had several partles besides the Reception and Fare well Party At Christmas time we sponsored a Christmas Dance which not only added a little gold to our treasure chest but also provided some very nice entertainment for the high school Some of the main features on the rogram were pantomine of nTwas the Night before christmas with Don Jones as narrator A very clever Magician Show by Paul Troke, and high school orchestra, and a girl's trio composed of Anne dancing, and refreshments were enjoyed by all who attended this event Ne Forty Niners had worker and slaved C J to make enough money to have a nice Reception for the Senior Class in the Spring For this great event we reserved the Riv ria Club in Indianapolis for the date of April 23, and made our plans accordingly Nhen the wonderful night came the Junior and Senior Classes, their guests, and the Faculty male their way to the Riveria Club However, it seems that some of the Juniors had difficulty in finding the place and one even picked up a ticket, Kto the theater, of coursel There were many pretty formals and corsages, and all the glrls and boys looked exceptionally nice A delicious dinner of fruit cock tail, steak, mashed potatore, gravy, peas, spring salad, milk, coffee, and ice cream was served in three courses During the course of meal it was necessary for a waiter to 'friskn Mr Scudd After everyone had finished eating the toastmaster, Tommy Crews gave the welcome speach And after the other formalities were disposed with, the Junior Poem, Senior Nill, and the Prophecy were read Everyone enjoyed dancing to the club orchestra, watching the dance team, Ray and Rita, and listening to the music provided by some members from our own class This was an especially happy occasion for Alberta Booty who received a very pretty diamond from her boy friend, Dick Plesk The Riveria Club closed at 12 OO, and we came home like good boys and girls Klt says herel N9 W fx X, l' 5 A .
