In 9 M E M O I-LI Effsgvf W ignngg W4 Q Ann Archer and Dolores Applegate. The final game with the Juniors was played at night, with the 7th and 8th playing Stilesville for a send-oft. The Juniors gave the High School a St. Patrick's party on March 16. On March 29, we presented our class play, Me and My Shadow. The characters were: Ann Archer, Dolores Applegate, Luella Austin, Deloris Snyder, Lois Storts, Russell Hulse, David Burnett, Vernon Applegate and Eugene Greeson. The Seniors' farewell party was given on May 4, for the whole High School with Benbow and Vaughan's Band furnishing the music for danc- ing. Instead of having to play games we entertained the ones who at- tended, with a picture show. On April 18, the Juniors gave us a reception at the Riviera Club in Indianapolis. The Baccalaureate Service was held on the afternoon of May 13. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Herschel Reed. The Commencement was held on May 18, and the address was given by Merrill B. McFall. Those attending Clay Township Schools all twelve years were: Dolores Applegate, Gilbert Bryant, Rolland Rollings, Marshall Walton, Ann Archer, Eugene Greeson and Russell Hulse. Those attending Amo High School during the four years were: Dolores Applegate, Vernon Applegate, Ann Archer, Luella Austin, Harold Bray, Gilbert Bryant, David Burnett, Charles Feller, Eugene Greeson, Rolland Rollings, Deloris Snyder, Lois Storts, Marshall Walton and Russell Hulse. CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of Amo High School, Amo, Indiana, being of sound mind and memory, do on this, the Eighteenth Day of May, of the Year of Nineteen Hundred and Forty-five, through the powers of the laws invested in us, make public and declare, with the intention that it shall not be broken, this our last will and testament, and now leave with cheerful disposition the following legacies, to be accepted with the great- est gratitude and enthusiasm, to our most unfortunate successors. To the Juniors, we bequeath another sponsor and class oiiicers as good as we had this year. To the Sophomores, we will our ability to earn money. To the Freshies, we will our ability to become dignified SENIORS in four short years. To Mr. Ogle, we will our good attitude and behavior and another Senior Government class as hopeful as the Seniors of 215. To Mr. Bray, we will another Senior class to guide and sponsor as well as he guided and sponsored us. To Miss Trittipo, we will our best wishes in sponsoring another Senior pflay and another Junior class to sponsor as well and wisely as she did is year. 15

ISWF MEMORIES 45 Luella Austin was chosen assistant to the F. F. A. Queen, Thelma Phillips, for the Clay Township Farmers' Institute. Carol Cox, Ann Archer and Luella Austin went to the finals in the Amo Latin Contest of Amo High of the first year Latin class. In the Class Tourney we drew the Seniors and were beaten, conse- quently we didn't feel very happy. Our yell leaders again were Carol Cox and Ann Archer. 1943-19-14 During the past year we lost five members, who were Bob McClain. Dorothy Gentry, Geraldine Barnett, Jean Broadstreet and Carol Cox, which made our class the smallest in the High School, with only sixteen members. This year as Juniors, we had the authority at the stand in the Gvm- nasium to sell pop corn, ice cream, and soft drinks, also we got to sell at the ball games. The officers for the coming year were elected as follows: President. David Burnett: Vice-President, Dolores Applegateg Secretary, Russell Hulse. and Treasurer, Luella Austin. Again we chose Miss Patten for our class Sponsor. On October 16, our class gave Auntie's Money as our class play. It was enioyed by everyone-We hope! The characters in the plav were: Ann Archer, Luella Austin. Dolores Applegate, David Burnett, Charles Feller, Russell Hulse and Rolland Rollings. At Christmas time. after having our gift exchange. we were second in line for the animal dinner, but due to the war we couldn't go to Plain- field to see a show. This year was one to be remembered as our basketball bovs won the Sectional tourney and went to the Regionals, but were defeated by Green- field. In the class tourney we drew the Sophomores, beat them and de- feated the Seniors in the finals. On May 6, we gave the Seniors a reception at the Riviera Club in Indianapolis. After the banquet. music was furnished by the Riviera Club Band for dancing. Some left early and some left late, but they all arrived home late. The Seniors gave their farewell party at the close of the year for all the students and faculty and their families. The evening was spent in dancing to Jimmy Brown's Orchestra and playing games. 1944-1945 Fifteen Seniors came back to Amo High to start our final year. Our class was the smallest graduating class of Amo High School. Our Omcei-S for our final year were: President, David Burnettg Vice- President, Gilbert Bryant: Secretary, Dolores Applegate, and Treasurer, Deloris Snyder, and Mr. Bray was chosen as our Sponsor. On October 3, we journeyed to Indianapolis to Porteris Studio to have our pictures taken for Memories, At last! We were Hrst in the parade around the Christmas dinner table. We enjoyed the gift exchange, with everyone receiving nice gifts. We won the class tourney again this year. Our yell leaders were 14

To Mrs. Thomas, we leave our typewriters and typing books and a school paper staff as efhcient as this year's. To Miss Johnson, we will a Physical Fitness class as obedient as ours. To Mrs. Lawson, we will our ability to have a Senior English class fatter we have graduated? To Mr. Malott, we leave as good musicians as those of the Seniors of this year. To Miss Horton, we will a silent and bashful Advanced Home Ec. class. Now we will and bequeath our most cherished possessions:- David Burnett bequeaths his ability to be short to Gib Barry. Gilbert Bryant wills his ability to play basketball and baseball to Herbert Phillips. Dolores Applegate Wills her typing ability to Junior Wingler. Deloris Snyder wills her popularity with the boys to Erma Stewart. Charles Feller wills his' ability to drive wrecklessly and stay alive to Paul Crews. Doyle Waskom Wills his ability to be a good student manager to Alden Thornberry. Luella Austin wills her ability to become a soldier's wife to Jakie Wallace. Eugene Greeson wills his basketball ability to Roy O'Neal. kRussell Hulse wills his curly hair to Jimmie Rollings, but Wants it bac . Vernon Applegate Wills his laugh and heighth to David Waltman. Harold Bray bequeaths his basketball ability to Richard McDaniel. DH Ann Archer wills her ability to get a man-and keep him-to Mona 1 on. Lois Storts bequeaths her ability always to have a man on her string to Louise Harlan. Marshall Walton Wills his seat in the assembly and all the knowledge therein to James Nicely. Rolland Rollings wills his manly physique and grin to Ephriam Buis.
