Senior Senate Back: Molles ton, Gammaek, Mr. Ritland, Stevens. J. Alexander. Stempel. Front: Allen. Christy. Sucher, Elder. A busy year filled with many activities climaxed the high school career of almost two hundred seniors who reluctantly, but fondly bid Ames High farewell this spring. The senior class governing body, the Senior Senate, was in charge of all these activities which included graduation and baccalaureate. The Senate was composed of four very capable class officers and one representative elected from each homeroom. Chuck Elder served as class president and Dave Sucher filled the post of vice president. The offices of secretary and treasurer went to Susan Allen and Larry Christy respectively. Representatives elected from each homeroom were: Jo Alexander. 237: Terry Moore. 235: Jack Stevens. 232: Lynn Stempel. 208: Bill Gammaek. 213: and Ellen Molleston. 110. L'nder the guidance of Everett Ritland. class sponsor, the Senate sponsored several money- making projects to finance the senior picnic and other Senior Week activities. The biggest of these projects was the senior class play given in May. twenty-two
