Iiuring the year it sponsored the selling of badges, pom-poms, and noise makers for the athletic events. Besides the black and orange striped pencils, the club sold pencils decorated with the basketball schedule. But the biggest selling event was the annual sale of holly wreaths. The first semester social events were headed by the Dad-Daughter Party, the New Student Party, and the VVoodehoppers' Convention. At Thanksgiving time it sponsored, jointly with the Hi-Y and with the cooperation of the Junior Chamber of Uommerce, the filling of baskets for the needy families of Ames, and at Christmas, filled boxes for the patients at the Story County Horne. The second semester saw no let-up in activities. The Friendship Conference, under the leadership of Reverend Hiller, was the high point in the semester program. The girls entertained their mothers at the annual Mother-Ilaughter Tea during the week. The sophomores, the first to have their dues paid, were guests of the club at a party, March 30. The Big Pal-Little Pal pienie served as a fitting climax to the year's work. BIARY TAFF, '39 T VV E N T Y
