Junior Class History NOTHER JUNIOR CLASS has survived its sophomore year and is look- ing forward to its Senior year in 1938. We see the Juniors taking an important part in many phases of school life. Foot- ball and basketball show the outstanding athletic ability of several of our class- mates. Spring sports will probably show up many more. Club work has taken a great majority of the Class of '38. Most of us are partaking of the benefits obtained from Hi-Y and Girl Reserves, and many are showing individual talent and leadership in the Musie clubs, Dramatie Club, Art Club, and others. At the beginning of the year, the class picked its leaders for their Junior year. They seleeted Bob Shearer as their president, George Underwood as vice president, Bettijane Kern as secretary, and Kenneth West as treasurer. With the helping hand of the sponsors of the Class of '38, the class gave an excellent interpretation of the play, Life Begins at Sixteen. The cast played their parts well with the difficult roles falling on two able dramatic club members, Dick Gernes and Ora Clark. From the proceeds of this production, the Juniors entertained its upper- classmen, the Class of ’37, at the Junior-Senior Frolic. At this time, as spokesman for the Junior Class, I wish to thank the faculty, especially Miss Wileox and Miss Braunwarth, our sponsors, and all others for the cooperation shown towards us and the help they gave us in guiding us through these last two years in such a way as to make them last 1n our memory forever.
