OUR ADMINISTRATORS DRNASM Superintendent N A Smith received his elementary and high school education in the schools of Monroe County Ohio and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio University He obtained his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees at the University of Pittsburgh Dr. Smith served a year in the Medical Department with the American Expedi- tionary Forces in France. From l92O to l942 he was principal of the Ambridge Senior High School He assumed his du ties as superintendent on July 6 i942 The superintendent is an advocate of the democratic and cooperative type of school administration and firmly believes that the entire school system should be a democratic laboratory in which students and teachers work efficiently and happily together. He believes that the education- al program should be geared not only with the present war effort but also with the peace which will follow.

BOARD OF EDUCATION The Ambridge School Board is com- posed of seven members. These mem- bers are responsible tor all personnel, supplies, buildings and other details which are necessary to produce an etfi cient and democratic school.
