The group was sponsored by Miss Mary Kay Simms, the school nurse assigned to Amarillo High School for the 19325-39 school year. The girls meet each week and are given an insight into the aspects of the pro- fession of nursing and what the students might expect. The Amarillo High School Bowling Club met weekly on Thursdays at Sandieland in 1953-59. The group was sponsored by Mr. Phil Pflug. a new member of the Sandie-land faculty. The group actually did their bowling at the Western Bowl out on the Canyon llighway.
