One was composed of juniors and seniors and the other strictly of sophomores. The groups met weekly and sponsored tw o major activities in the calendar year for the social and spiritual life of A.H.S. students. The first major activity of the group was the annual Snowflake Hall held in early December. Students from both groups worked together on the plans and deco- rations. It is the traditional fall semester social event of the season at Sandieland. The second floor girls gymnasium was used in 1953 and the old hall was turned into at beautiful winter wonderland for the couples who enjoy dancing under the snowflakes of a warmer nature. In March in conjunction with the annual World Day of Prayer services held universally, the members of all the Sandieland Y-Teens groups planned and spon- sored the prayer service for students at A.H.S. As the bells pealerl across the street for the students to come worship, Y-Teens felt that they had reached the climax of their spiritual year at Sandie-land.
