Hopes for an excellent turnout for next year are evident as only tive seniors were on the 1953 varsity edition. These were Denny Allen, Philip Henry, Ioe Riebli, lerry Salac, and Frank Viada.

More than half ot the crop were rookies and they played their part in the title chase. Early victories included Hayward I.V., 2-l, and Lick-Wilmerdinq, 5-l.
