This year has been full of fun and new things that will live with me forever. I have learned to know and understand people, smile and talk to strangers, share, love and appreciate everyone and everything. Most of all I learned to know myself.
1 have realized one of the goals I had set, come to live in another country, with different people, language and way of living. Thanks to Alwood High School and it’s wonderful people, as well teachers and students. To my family, and in general to the community, this has been one of the best experiences of my life.
I just want to say thank you all for being my friends and helping me get through this year. I will always love you and remember you.
“The Colombian beanhead”
Through Maria’s stay with the Rehn family, we all came to know and love her as if she had spent all twelve years with us. Maria taught us of her home in Colombia and what it means to make new friends from strangers. With much regret but great love and thanks we say good-bye to Maria Ines Toro.

The Week Was Cold . . .

81Once Upon A Mattress
On the evenings of May 7 and 8. the Alwood High School gymnasium was transformed into a fairy tale kingdom The whole kingdom was searching for a bride for Prince Dauntless but the overprotective Queen mother would not accept any of the choices Finally Princess Winifred, who swam the moat, passed the test necessary to become Dauntless' bride In the end. Dauntless found his bride. King Sextimus who had been mute, but vocal in his own way. received his voice, and the Queen was silenced

Friendship Is A Matter of Time
Friendship is really a matter of time the time that it takes to be kind, the time that it takes just to listen and talk, to help someone find peace of mind.
Friendship is really a matter of time the time that it takes you to do a thoughtful and generous favor that wasn’t expected of you. the time that it takes just to answer a call to let someone know that you're there.
