AlWood's F.F.A. sponsors many activities, one of which is the AlWood Calf Club. This is its story.
Borrowing from the Bank is a must for the first year calf-club member.
In the picture below are two freshman F.F.A. boys talking with Bank Cashier Kenneth Mecum, learning the experience of paying interest on borrowed money and that capital also costs money.
The calves were bought from a ranch in Southwestern Missouri and were shipped here for sorting into pens of four. The boys in the next picture are drawing lots to determine which pen of calves will be theirs to feed for the next eleven months.

We Who Love Music Are
Our chorus, which consists of 137 members, has fun working, singing, and performing. In the fall of the year we try to get back in the swing of things, and gradually we get our voices into condition. Throughout the year we are constantly rehearsing for some program. To climax the year's work, we go to Music Contest.
In the past years we have put on minstrel shows, and from the profit on these shows we have been able to purchase a grand piano.
A happy day for Mrs. Miller, our director, was the day the grand piano was delivered.
