On Frlday. November 2 wlth the car decorating contest the Actlvltes were set off. The Junlors jumped out Into a commandlng lead wlnnlng the 2 flrst place rlbbons In the Tacky Day competition and all but 1 flrst place In the Play Day competltlon. At the Homecomlng pep-Rally The band played an excitement fllled version of the Homecomlng theme The 5tlng . as the crowd roared the Jacket battle cry the points were totaled and the junlors beat the Seniors for the weeks splrlt stlck. All were quiet at the game that evening as Alvin suffered a disapolntlng 28-29 clash with Dlstrlct 24-4A Champs, Texas Clty. All was not lost as Leso Landsman was Homecomlng Queen wlnner for 1979. so
