fAxclmnruSTraTron The faculty of Alvin Public Schools is composed of the superintendent, four principals, sixty-two teachers, and the nurse. All teachers hold degrees, and thirty-two have masters degrees. The average salary, exclusive of administrators, is 353583, and each teacher has, on the average, 14.3 years of experience. For the first time the faculty is this year 100 per cent in belonging to the National Education Association, While it has long been traditional for the faculty to be 100 per cent in the Texas State Teachers Association. Superin- tendent Welch says it is a consolation and a feeling of security to have back of him this type of faculty, as well as a fine school board and interested citizens. A. G. Mr. McDaniel, who is completing twenty-five years ol service on the board, has stated his intention to retire at the end ot his present term.
