Sophomore Class Richard Thalhamer Henry Service Buell Gibson Phillip Johnson President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer H932 What would old F. H. S. do without our Sophomore class? As yet we haven't reached the stage of guardianship of the school. One doesn't find us pacing the halls, exhibiting so-called eloquence and Koh, poor Seniorsj false dignity, showering assumed superiority and knowledge on whatever luckless martyr we might meet. Indeed, the Sophs are very sane and show signs of remaining so, for at least 'two years. So long as we are here, the school will be democratic. We are very proud, too, of our scholastic leadership and of our basket ball stars. Those of us-all on the B team-are David Barrow, Oscar Miller, Francis Walters, Arthur Burries, and Richard Thalhamer. Our success we owe to the advice and guidance of our sponsors, Miss Mary Hom- sher and A. Dale Allen, and to our class officers. 1I930

Bang!! Boom!!! Bewildered and astonished they hide behind seats and under tables. Hurry-scurry! pell mell!! And then quiet. Not a thing astir--not even a Senior. Faces, with big question marks written all over them, peep from invisible places. And what do they see? FRESHIES who are silently penetrating their books. Oh! yes, they rush like this to every class eager for the knowledge which they never absorb. Just look at their countenances blossoming forth and beaming out upon everyone. Talented? Well, just ask their sponsors! Miss Blanche McBride and Roger Deputy are overwhelmed. They see future athletic stars, great statesmen, and what-nuts.
