BOARD OF EDUCATION - ADMINISTRATION Educational leaders set high goals for school progress Five dedicated men who serve Altus Schools without finan- cial remuneration make up the Board of Education. All are college educated, all work closely with head administrator, Supt. Clifford Peterson, in planning five, even fifteen years ahead for major advancements in educational opportunities. Leadership of Altus schools in numerous local, state and federal programs can be attributed to the foresight of this group, state educators believe. Altus Schools frequently are featured in regional and national publications. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS are given careful consideration by Supt. Clifford Peterson, but he prefers first hand information. He particularly enjoys visits to Altus High and can call many students by name. An officer in top level state groups, he also is on regional five-state research board. FINANCIAL DETAILS of the two million plus operation of Altus Schools are analized by Board President Hatton McMahan, AHS graduate and bank president. 20
