To a man who always has a smile for everyone, who we know will be on our side when everyone else is against us, who we think is tops in every way—we wish to show our admir- ation and friendship by dedicating this annual, THE BULLDOG of 1954, to the Superintendent of the Altus School System, Mr. Clifford Peterson. 13o 1 cC Off The men who make up the Board of Education are (left to right) Dr. Clyde G. Russell, W. 0. Goodman, Joe C. Stroud, John T. Puckett and JohnChennaultWe realize that these men are re- sponsible for directing, improving, and managing important school affairs, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the school board for all they have done that has had a part in the improvement of the Altus School System. Few people work harder or longer than the secretary of the Altus public schools to make the system run smoothly and efficiently. Mrs. Walter Cross has not only one but many responsibilr ities. Besides being secretary of the Altus Public schools, she is Clerk of the School Board, and secretary to our Superintendent, Mr. Peterson. Mrs. Cross has served well rn these cap- acities tor the past years. We at A.rl.S. are extremely honored to have her in our school system.
