Class Prophecq if
This is 1975. You wouldn't recognize Alton anymore. It is now a
thriving metropolis. Alton High School is still a growing concern
with new classes coming and going each year. The class of 1953 has
really gone down in history. It's illustrious members have attained
The statement, nQuality is better than Quantityn, certainly ap-
plies to the members of this class. Bob Reeves has become a minister
and is now serving the Alton E.U.B. Congregation. Bob also told us
that a former classmate, Arlene Duff, is now a missionary in South
Africa. Arlene told us that she had seen a British produced film star-
ing Elvin Duer, the great British movie star. Elvin is happily mar-
ried to his fifth wife, Margaret Dugan, Elvin had said that last
summer as he passed through California he visited the UVohs Fish Can-
neryn, owned and run by the former classmates Ralph Vohs and Deloris
Pratt, strictly on the family basis.
Donald Wallace, is now serving his fifth term as Governor of
Kansas, with a former classmate Jo Ann Cox as his personal secretary.
Marriage plans are in the air.
As we look further into the year we find Professor Crusha now
teaching chemistry at Notre Dame. Professor Crusha is the former
classmate Darrell Crusha of high school days. His eleven sons make up
Notre Dame's football team.
As we look to the north we see the former classmate Lee Barnt, as
proprietor of the NRedwood Lumber Companyn in Canada. Lee told us
that Bob Gilliland now owned a gold mine in Alaska.
Traveling on we view a large nGuinea Pig Experiment stationn head-
ed by the former classmate Wilda Stockbridge, who is now Mrs Daryl Cars
swell. Wilda told us that she had recently heard from Treva Westfall.
She is now a great soprano opera star with the New York Symphony
One more stop and we see Velma Wilkenson as head of the Medicial
Center in Chicago. Velma is happily married to Kenneth Fetterolf.
Last, but by no means least, we view Mr. Voss, our senior class
sponsor, retired for life.
Our crystal ball has revealed this interesting future for each of
