defeated record so far, of 11-0. Herren also picked up seven
pins out of his eleven matches, and first place in the Alton
Holiday Tournament. Matt Fessler had a very aggressive start
for his third season. So far, his record is 10-1-1. Fessler ex-
perienced his first defeat by an overtime referee's decision,
against Edwardsville, which proved to be the deciding factor
for him placing third in the holiday tournament.
The wrestling team got off to a slow start this year. Along
with strong competition and a young team with little varsity
experience, the "Matbirds" produced an overall record as of
Ianuary 3, of 2-11, placing them fourth in the holiday tourna-
