alton senior high school today
Our school was started by men of vision, courage,
and faith. Today it is one of the best-looking
and most honored schools in the State
Alton High consists of three buildings: these three
buildings are set on a beautiful five-acre cam-
pus Which surrounds a large blacktop parking area.
The Main Building is to the east of the parking
area, the Annex to west, and the Olin
Building to the north. To the rear of
the Clin Building is a football field which is
now used as a practice field by athletes and by
gym classes. South of the Annex and the
Main Building are two large semi-circles of grass
extending to College Avenue. The lawns in
front of all the buildings form very attrac-
tive terraces, and a large variety of
trees and shrubs is planted around the walks and
along the foundations of the buildings to
beautify our campus.
As can be seen, the Alton High campus is beautiful
well-arranged, and adequate for the
needs of all students.
