The team was composed of three seniors, three juniors, and six sophomores, There were many highlights of the year despite the unimpressive record, Alton played a whale of a game to down the Flyers of East St. Louis, and later on in the season gave highly ranked Wood River many scares be- fore the Redbirds had to bow in de- feat. The team progressed rapidly as the season advanced, and the boys should have gained plenty of experi- ence for future basketball wars.
