try out or display special aptitude for dramatics Miss Mildred Rutledge is the faculty sponsor and
director of the major productions The organ1zat1on presents two long plays each school year During
the 1937 38 season Girl Shy a farce concerning college life and The Eyes o Tlaloc a mystery were
In addition to the long productions one student directed assembly program was sponsored by the club
The purpose of such an organization is to arouse an intelligent interest in dramatics in high school
people and various speakers explain numerous phases of dramatic art to the club at its regular meetings
The Dramatic club also sponsors the local chapter of the National Thesplans
