Text from Pages 1 - 240 of the 1973 volume: “Bishop Zuroweste 1973 2 In Memoriam 3 The Building of Our Friendship Life is a labyrinth of crossed paths. We smile. Shake hands, And are on our way again To other crossings. And other smiles. And other handshakes. So it goes. Some are fortunate. Their paths cross and then run side by side for ever so long Before they part and go their life-long ways. Others find that their paths cross, and parallel and merge into Each other. Not of thier own doing. They just do. I like our paths better. We crossed. And smiled. And shook hands, And exchanged glances; And finding our paths proceeded side by side for awhile, We took each others’ hands; And finding this handclasping to our liking We laid our arms across each others’ shoulders; And when our paths began to deviate We squeezed so gently each other’s arms, To find if he too did not like walking side by side forever; And when we found we did, We embraced. And bent our paths, forcing them to run along each other until They merged, And we found that we were Friends. Fr. J. This page is dedicated to all the teachers in gratitude for all the work that they have done for us. It is hard to capture all the things that they have done. Modular scheduling brings more time for a one-to-one basis between the student and teacher. This is really important. In learning, to have someone to really help and care means so much. Even though there still is not enough time (there will never be); we wish to thank you for giving your all to make our education the best. Faculty pictures compliments of Belle Flair Photography. You are always welcome at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows! As you grow into adulthood, bring your desires and problems to Mary. She, who ‘‘is ever the path to Christ,” will intercede for you. You have dedicated four years of your life under the banner of Althoff. She is your Mother. Bring your petitions to Mary with confidence. Pray for your personal needs, but also remember the petitions of others—all those who have preceded you and are united under the banner of Althoff and the other thousands of Mary’s children who look to her for help and encouragement. It pleases our Blessed Mother to see her children pray for each other, and because of your thought¬ fulness and charity, Mary will ask her Divine Son to grant your requests. As a young adult of Althoff, she is your model and Mother. Come to your Mother’s Shrine as often as possible. Jobs they never knew we had, or knew they’d be good at. We’ve got over 200 job-training courses. Taught by excellent instructors, in good schools, with the finest equipment around. Jobs that could cost you a lot of money to learn in civilian life. Today’s Army pays while you learn. Starting at $288 a month, with promotions and raises as you move up in your job. Along with free meals, housing, clothing, medical and dental care. And 30 days paid vacation each year. And there’s a lot more you can get that few other jobs give you. A chance to travel. To live and work in places tourists only visit. Like Europe, Hawaii, Panama, Alaska. If you’d like to learn a job that’s as valuable to you as it is to the Army, see your nearest Army Recruitor. 309 East Main Today’s Army Wants To Join You Belleville 233-5387 f ' V raphs ”
