Prom And Banquet Both the decorations and the menu of the Junior-Senior Banquet had a Mexican themeg the juniors made desert and sun murals as backdrops for the dinner, which consisted of tortilla soup, chicken enchiladas, Spanish rice, tamale pie, chips, and an ice creamffruit compote. The juniors decorated the prom in a Port of Hawaii theme, with palm trees, a forested backdrop, and a floor centerpiece of a pond and plants. Teresa Short and Steve Jackson were named Queen and King of the event. A Eugene band called Transit played a wide variety of music and seemed to be well-liked. Although the dance was not as well-attended as usual, those who did come seemed to dance nearly every dance. ,, ,. 5 1 map., .- Left: Diane and Roy Scribner visit with Jerry Phelps at Banquet.
